General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think this excess dryness comes from Sjogren's syndrome. It is an autoimmune disease that causes inflammation and results in dryness of eyes and mouth. You should test for Sjogren's antibodies to verify a diagnosis.

You can use artificial tear for eyes. Use sugarless gum to keep mouth watery. Also, take lots of fluids.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
